Wolves Rainbow Six Siege team book their spot in the world championship playoffs after a third-place finish in the group stage.

The first game saw the pack play the North American team Spacestation Gaming. The Americans took the first map but Wolves came back strong taking both maps two and three to win the game 2-1 and pick up their first win of the tournament against a strong opponent.

Deadshot, the newest addition to the Wolves roster, had a standout performance in his very first game at a world championship and earned himself the day one tournament MVP.

Next up was the Australian outfit Team Bliss. While considered by many as one of the weaker teams at the tournament, Bliss are a talented team that has seen consistent improvement this year. However, Wolves were too much for them as they closed out the series with a clean 2-0, taking all four points and their second win of the tournament.

Most notable about this fixture was the impressive performance from Mowwwgli who tallied an incredible 40 kills over the two maps and reminded everyone of just how dangerous he is.

Dplus KIA, from South Korea, were next up and provided less of a challenge as the pack stomped their way to a 2-0 win with a solid all-round team performance.

Going into the final group game against FaZe Clan, Wolves knew a win would see them top the group. Ultimately the Brazilian roster proved too difficult an obstacle to overcome and issued Wolves with their first loss of the tournament. 0-2.

That loss meant Wolves finished the group stage in third place and a spot in the upper bracket of the playoffs.

Their next game will be against W7M, an opponent the pack know well. The two most consistent teams in the world will battle it out for a spot in the upper bracket quarterfinals on Monday 19 February at 10am BRT (1pm GMT).
